A successful year of Hospitality  in the Southside

Queen’s Park returned to their Southside of Glasgow roots last summer, on and off the park, with Scotland’s oldest football club using the move as the perfect time to relaunch their Hospitality offerings.

Head of Commercial Kieran Koszary drew up the plans which included a tour of the revamped city Stadium before opening up the brand new Black and White Lounge for the club’s guests to enjoy fine food, fine drink and an entertainment package.

The entertainment came from the club’s own Dave Mac, who has now been rebranded as The Legendary Dave Mac, due to reviews he has had for his chats with pre-match speakers who have ranged from Queen’s Park legends to medal winning Olympians.

Dave has also run his pre-match quiz at every home game before leading the club’s guests on the short walk from The city Stadium to Hampden where they watch the Spiders in action from the best seats in the National Stadium.

After the match, and no matter how the team have played, there has always been a post-match debrief involving players and officials of Queen’s Park to ensure that the Hospitality Guests receive a unique insight to the 90 minutes.

Kieran has just carried out a review of that first year and he said:
“Returning to the Southside of Glasgow has been a success. We have had a very good year with over 1300 people attending and having to put the ‘sold-out’ signs up on a regular basis.”

“We started off with Queen’s Park games but have added Hospitality events for when Scotland play at home and for national cup semi-finals and finals. We are also hosting one when Pink is playing a concert at Hampden next month.

“It has been good to grow our core business and diversify into other areas such as private functions and corporate events which we will be running all summer.”

Kieran added:
“I would like to thank everyone who has come along and supported us. We have received great feedback and will look to build on those first year. Finally, I would like to thank the hard-working and dedicated staff within the Hospitality Team for all their efforts over the past year.”

“We would not have received the rave reviews we have had without you.”
