Abby Callaghan is the very first recipient of the Committee Women's Player of the Year Trophy.
One aspect of our Player of the Year awards missing was the acknowledgement of the contribution the women’s team make to the club. So last season the committee decided to buy a new trophy and award it to the Women’s player of the Year.

Abby was an ever present in the women’s side last season, scoring 20 goals in 30 appearances. She scored six games in a row between November to January. Abby joined Queen’s Park in October 2021 and has represented Scotland at U15-U19 level.
She was the SWPL2 top scorer and our very first SWPL2 Player of the Month in November. She also was nominated for the SWPL Goal of the Season.
Abby could not make it to Saturday’s Player of the Year awards event at Lesser Hampden, so club Secretary Graeme Shields visited Lochinch on Thursday to present the trophy to Abby before training.
