Leo Clark has been chosen by the technical staff of Queen’s Park Academy as Player of the Month for the month of January. The defender from the Under 18s is the first to be awarded the honorary title to stimulate a culture of learning, growing and performing.
The title of Player of the Month is a new initiative given to players who show, every day, that they want to invest in themselves, dare to excel both on and off the field, always demonstrate 100% effort, train and play well and contribute positively to the winning culture of his team.
Charley King: ‘Perfect example for the rest of the Academy’
“This award is the result of Leo continuing to invest in himself,” explains coach King. “Being promoted recently to our U18’s Leo Clark, aged 15, has demonstrated exactly the characteristics that being part of this academy is all about. Since the new year he has consistently performed well for the under 18s as a modern wing back. He is a great boy who is always willing to learn and works hard at every session, both on the pitch and in the gym. He should be proud of the hard work he has put in up until now and is a perfect example of a role model for the rest of the academy”.
As a reward Leo Clark will be invited for a training day with the First Team.
