Andrew Lind Signs for Queen’s Park

Academy player Andrew Lind (18) has signed a two-year professional apprentice contract with Queen's Park.

Lind joined the academy in 2014 from Cathcart Boys Club.

The midfielder, born and raised in Glasgow, joined Queen’s Park Under 11s.

Last season he played his matches with the Academy Under 18s, who lifted the CAS Performance League title for the second time in a row.

Glasgow Cup
This season, Lind made his unofficial football debut with Queen’s Park in the Glasgow Cup. He played a part in the opening group stage game against Partick Thisle.

Andrew Lind: ‘Unbelievable feeling to sign’
“I’m delighted. It’s an unbelievable feeling to sign the contract. It was a proud moment for me and my family. I’m looking forward to the start of the season and the future with Queen’s Park.”

Marijn Beuker: ‘Andrew reads the game very well’
“Andrew is intelligent midfielder who reads the game very well and is technically able to build play. That’s something in the club we are looking for in a playmaking controlling midfielder. In the last months he has trained regularly with the first team and made a good impression. We are happy to have signed Andrew so he can slowly adjust to the level and intensity required in a first team environment.”

Lind will join the first team for pre-season when the team starts June 17th.
