Attacking midfielder Tyrece McDonnell signs for Queen’s Park

Queen’s Park FC are delighted to advise that they have signed Tyrece McDonnell on a three-year contract.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder played at Motherwell for 2 years before joining the youth academy at Celtic and has signed a contract with the Spiders until the summer of 2026.

Tyrece is determined to prove himself at Queen’s Park as he explained: “As a young player, I am incredibly excited to have signed with Queen’s Park for the next three years. I am determined to prove myself by working hard every day and pushing to break through to the first team.

“I am eager to learn from the experienced players and coaching staff and I am grateful for the opportunity this club has given so I can take my game to the next level.”

Queen’s Park’s Director of Football Marijn Beuker is pleased with the recruitment of a creative and intelligent player as he said: “We are very happy with the signing of Tyrece for the club. He is a creative and intelligent player, who can both dominate a 1v1 situation and unlock opposing teams with a through ball.

“We are always looking to improve our teams and are happy with the addition of Tyrece to our set-up. The next period will be important for him as he gets familiar to our way of football and way of training. We believe that he can progress with us.”

Tyrece will start working with the Queen’s Park’s under-18 side immediately.
