Bob McHugh Joins the Spiders

Queen’s Park can today confirm the signing, subject to clearance, of 28-year-old striker Bob McHugh.

Bob has a wealth of Championship level experience at both Falkirk and Greenock Morton.  In the shortened 2019/20 season, he made 27 appearances for Morton, scoring 12 times with 3 assists.

Head Coach Ray McKinnon said: “I’m delighted that Bob has decided to join the club.

He is an excellent player and great professional who has scored goals at all his previous clubs.  I’m sure he will do so with Queen’s”.

Bob McHugh said: “I’m delighted and honoured to be joining Queen’s Park.  The club has ambitious plans, a great coaching set up and I can’t wait to get started”.

Capped for Scotland U19s, Bob started his professional career at Motherwell in 2008 and had loan spells at Queen of the South and Airdrieonians before signing for Falkirk in 2015.  He made over 70 appearances for the Bairns, scoring 16 goals before signing for Morton in 2017.

During 3 seasons at Cappielow, he made 103 appearances, scoring 30 goals.

Welcome to Queen’s Park Bob!
