Queen’s Park are proud to advise that goalkeeper Callan McKenna and attacker Lennon Connolly have been selected by Scotland for the UEFA under-17 Finals that are being held in Hungary from May 13 to June 3.
Callan and Lennon were both involved in the qualification stages and are now taking their place in a squad that will face France, Portugal and Germany in Group C over a six-day period with the top two nations progressing to the quarter-finals that start on May 27 with the Final on June 2.
Queen’s Park’s Director of Football Marijn Beuker said: “Everybody at the club is pleased that Callan and Lennon have been selected for these finals. Their selection shows both the potential there is in these players , but equally the quality of our Academy Program.
“The games Scotland play will provide great experience that I am sure Callan and Lennon will benefit from.”
