Callan McKenna – Scotland under 19s

Queen’s Park goalkeeper Callan McKenna has been selected to represent the Scotland under-19 side in two Friendly games next month.

The 16-year-old shot-stopper is one of seven players who played for the National under-17 side last season that have been selected by Billy Stark to make the step-up to under-19 level.

The young Scots will travel to play Belgium at Hasselt on Wednesday, 6 September before facing the Czech Republic at the same venue on Saturday, 9 September.

The under-19 squad is on UEFA Euro 2024 Qualifying Round action in November where they will come up against Serbia, Bulgaria and Andorra and the games against Belgium and the Czech Republic will allow Stark to assess the options he has for his squad.
