Academy player Callan McKenna (16) has signed a professional contract with Queen's Park.
Callan left Hibernian when he was 11 and signed for Queen’s Park just after his 12th birthday. He has worked his way through the academy age groups.
The goalkeeper has lived in Fernhill, Rutherglen all his life.

Callan McKenna: ‘I’ve worked hard in the past years for this moment’
“I’m really happy to have signed my first professional contract here at Queen’s Park. I’ve worked hard in the past years for this moment. I’m especially delighted to be at a club that has big ambitions for the future and I hope to be part of that.”
Marijn Beuker: ‘A physical strong goalkeeper who is great in preventing indirect and direct danger.’
“I am very happy to have been able to sign Callan for the coming period. He is a physical strong goalkeeper who is great in preventing indirect and direct danger. But at the same time he is capable of playing from the back as the 11th field player. This is one of the reasons he has worked his way to the Scottish U17 and U18 National Team.
“The long term philosophy is all about giving young promising talents the oppurtunity in our first team and Callan is certainly a potential that fits in that profile.”
