Queen’s Park have added Callum Haspell to their squad on a permanent basis with the right sided defender joining from Highland League side Rothes.
The 20-year-old was born in Roskilde in Denmark and starred for Clachnacuddin under-20’s before heading to Salem University in America in 2020. After a year in the States Callum moved to the City of Malaga Academy during his time there, he progressed to their senior side CD Almuñécar City.
Callum moved to Rothes at the start of this season, who are managed by former Elgin City manager Ross Jack, and has featured in 21 games for the Mackessack Park side.
Queen’s Park Head Coach Callum Davidson said: “Callum is joining Queen’s Park as he has great potential and I have liked what I have seen from him on the training pitch. He sees the club as a suitable place to develop.
“He is still maturing but he has the opportunity to show everyone that he has what it takes to become a full-time professional footballer.”
