QUEEN’S PARK FC is delighted to announce the return of forward Callum Smith to the Spiders.
Sean Crighton’s first recruit in the January transfer window has signed a one-year extension to his initial six-month deal.
Smith scored once for the club – a vital strike in the away win over Ayr United in March.
He joined the club from Raith Rovers and has previously played for Airdrie, Dunfermline Athletic and Hamilton Academical.
First-team manager Sean Crighton said: “Callum came in as one of our January signings and he had some brilliant performances – like down at Ayr United where we picked up three valuable points and he got on the scoresheet and at Partick on the last day of the season.
“His display against Arbroath on his debut as a number nine was another and he is adaptable and can play along that front line for us.
“I still think there is more to come from Callum and he agrees.
“One thing Cal will do is he will work and run for the team. He is another who will benefit from a pre-season after his injury last season but I am confident Callum will bring a big value to the team this season.”
