QUEEN’S PARK Football Club can confirm an agreement has been reached with Kilmarnock FC for the transfer of goalkeeper Calum Ferrie, subject to SFA approval.
Calum has been a Spiders stalwart since 2021, joining from Dundee and going on to amass almost 200 games in club colours.
In a total of 199 games across all competitions, he recorded 57 clean sheets.
Among these appearances in his five years at Queen’s Park were many match-winning and point-saving performances – most recently against Morton and perhaps most notably against Rangers in the 1-0 Scottish Gas Scottish Cup win last February.
Though Calum still had one year remaining on his Queen’s Park contract he had expressed a desire to explore any opportunities to play at a higher level and the club has respected this wish.
As such, an offer from Kilmarnock to take him to the William Hill Premiership, which is agreeable to both the club and Calum, has now been accepted.
It goes without saying he leaves with the very best wishes of all associated with Queen’s Park and with the immense gratitude of the club for his commitment and talents over the past five years as a goalkeeper, and service as club captain.
Calum joined QPTV for the final time on Friday morning to deliver a message for the Spiders supporters.
