Queen’s Park return on Saturday to where their 2023/ 24 Season began with a game at the Caledonian Stadium against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The Spiders will be hoping that they can repeat the success they saw back on August 5 when goals from Dom Thomas and Tommy Robson secured a 2-1 win despite former team-mate Jake Davidson pulling a goal back late on.
Since that day both sides have changed their personnel and their management teams with this game being the first meeting of Duncan Ferguson’s team versus a Callum Davidson’s team.

The cinch Championship so far:
Queen’s Park and Inverness Caledonian Thistle sit ninth and eighth in the Championship table with the Highlanders four points ahead of the Spiders after their 3-2 success at Raith Rovers last weekend where new boy Alex Samuel scored a hat-trick.
That win was Caley’s third win in four games with Ayr also defeated in the Championship and Broomhill seen off in the Scottish Cup, with their last victory before then seen against Queen’s Park in early December.
Ferguson’s side have played one game more than Queen’s Park so the Spiders head north knowing that bouncing back from losing to Ayr last weekend, in the best possible fashion, would bring their hosts firmly into sight as they look to climb the table.
A win is also required to keep Arbroath’s hopes of moving up the way at bay.
A three-point haul would be Queen’s Park’s fourth away success of the season and make it two from two on the road having also won at Raith Rovers on their last game.
Whilst Samuel looks like being the dangerman for Inverness, with four goals in his last two games, Spider Ruari Paton tops the chart in the Championship goal-scoring stakes with 16 in total with last weekend’s header against The Honest Men one of his best.
Squad News:
Former Inverness Caledonian Thistle player Sean Welsh who was a late substitute the last time the teams met will be missing from the Queen’s Park squad due to suspension with Jack Spong out after leaving the club this week.
Defender Danny Wilson and attacker James Crole have been added to the Queen’s Park squad that is still missing Charlie Fox and Grant Savoury who are continuing their rehabilitation work following injury.
