After a week off due to a frozen pitch, Queen's Park play Ayr United at Hampden Park on Saturday. Kick off 3pm.
Following the postponement of last Saturday’s game at Dunfermline Athletic the visit of Ayr United to Hampden will be Callum Davidson’s second game in charge of Queen’s Park however he will not be the new boy in the Technical Area as The Honest Men appointed former Scotland midfielder Scott Brown as their new manager this week.
It will however be Callum’s first home game in charge and he will send his side out to build on the 2-1 away success seen at Raith Rovers on his debut.
Ayr’s clever use of lightning raids on the Queen’s Park goal helped them to a win on their first visit to Glasgow’s south-side earlier this season however the Spiders came from two goals down to draw 2-2 thanks to a last-gasp Ruari Paton goal in November at Somerset Park when the sides met again.

The cinch Championship so far:
With their own match postponed last weekend and Ayr defeating Arbroath 2-0 in midweek Queen’s Park, despite winning their last two games, slipped into ninth place without kicking a ball ahead of this Saturday’s game.
After wins over Dunfermline and Raith Rovers, Queen’s Park are out to emulate the success they say earlier in the season when they completed a hat-trick of victories on the bounce.
Ayr’s midweek success over Arbroath ended a six-game winless run in the Championship during which time Lee Bullen left his position as manager with David White taking interim charge ahead of Brown’s appointment.
The three points picked up on Tuesday saw Ayr move above both Queen’s Park and Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the table and up to seventh.
A win for Queen’s Park in this one could see a rise for the Glasgow side to seventh.
Squad News:
Liam McLeish is back in training however this game may come too soon for the striker and he will remain on the side-lines with Charlie Fox and Grant Savoury.
Recent recruits Callum Hapsell and Mackenzie Carse have been added with Head Coach Callum Davidson working hard on adding to his pool before kick-off.
