Connor Shields: ‘Excited to now be part of a very ambitious club’
“It’s great to be here and I’m delighted to have joined the club. Looking in from the outside over the last couple of years, it’s clear to see the ambitions the club have, and I’m delighted to finally get the deal done. I can’t wait to help the club starting on Friday against Ayr United.”

Marijn Beuker: ‘A player with scoring ability’
“Connor has proved both at Queens of the South and Motherwell that he can score goals. He has a good sense of space in front of goal and is dynamic and agile, which is a handful for defenders. Besides his football qualities, he is a real winner. You can see in everything that he wants to get the maximum out of it. We’re going to play a lot of important games for the rest of the season. That is why we want to have a good quality selection. We are very happy that we agreed this deal today.”

Owen Coyle: ‘A quick player who can score goals”
“Connor is a quick player who can create and score goals. But also he works very hard for his team which is an important element in the way we want to press. Connor has many teams that were interested and we are delighted he wanted to come to us. We look forward to see him enjoying his football.”
