Design a Christmas Card Competition is Back

Queen’s Park FC are delighted to team up for the second year running with local partners, Laurie Ross, to run a competition asking youngsters to design the front of the official 2022 Christmas card to be used by the club and the insurance brokers at Laurie Ross.

Last year thousands of entries were received and Macy Flavin from St Fillian’s Primary School picked up the triple prize of a £50 Hamleys toy store voucher, a Queen’s Park goodie bag including a full strip, and a £100 Voucher for a family meal in a town centre restaurant with a taxi service provided.

Fantastically, the prizes are the same this year with children being asked to use their imagination and create a card showing what a ‘Glasgow Christmas Tree’ should look like.

Entry forms are being sent out to local schools over the next few days and, we are sure that teachers will be delighted to get involved as they will receive a Jo Malone gift bag if the winning pupil comes from their class!

You can also take part by picking up a form from our club offices at Lesser Hampden or from the Laurie Ross Branch, which is just across the road from us at 37 Carmunnock Road, Mount Florida.

Our thanks go to Laurie Ross for not only supporting this competition but for also agreeing to accept all the entries at their Mount Florida base but also to highlight the creativity of our local children by displaying all the entries in their branch windows.

The closing date for entries will be 4.00pm on Friday, December 16 and we wish everyone taking part – Good Luck!

Can all entries please be handed into Laurie Ross, Mount Florida.

Kieran Koszary, Head of Commercial at Queen’s Park, said: “This is a special time of year, and we are delighted to be holding a special competition with fantastic prizes. Last year the competition was a real success, the designs were fantastic, and I am sure that this year’s standard will be the same.”

“It is a busy period for the club as it returns to the Southside to play Hamilton Academical this Saturday and Montrose next weekend. It is terrific that a lot of children who will be taking part in this competition are also taking advantage of our ‘Tickets for School’ initiative.”

June Lynch, Managing Director, Laurie Ross Insurance said: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Queen’s Park FC and our local Southside schools again. The standard of entries last year for the Christmas Card Competition was fantastic and we are really looking forward to seeing this year’s entries. The very best of luck to everyone who enters.”
