Ellie picks up her fourth POTM

Ellie Kane, our women's squad captain, has picked up the November Scottish Women’s Premier League 2 Player of the Month award making it the fourth month in a row Ellie had won the award.

Ellie, who is in her third season as a Spider, continues her run of having scored in every league game this season, now stretching to 11 matches. She scored four goals in November as well as providing an assist in all three of Queen’s Park’s games. She has now scored 21 goals in all competitions this season.

The Spiders are currently seven points clear at the top of the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League 2 table having won all matches in November. That included a dramatic late winner, which Kane assisted, away to St Johnstone in their 3-2 victory at the Riverside Stadium.

Ellie commented: “I am thrilled to have won this award again. November has been a great month for me personally and for the team, and we hope we can continue our winning streak to finish 2023 on a high”

Head coach Craig Joyce said: “Winning four SWPL Player of the Month awards in a row is an incredible achievement for Ellie & Queen’s Park Football Club and is something that we are immensely proud of. Picking up these awards is testament to Ellie’s work on & off the pitch, not only has she worked extremely hard at her game (and her new found role) but she continues to be a great role model for younger players, leader in our dressing room and overall team player. Once again congratulations to Ellie on picking up her 4th individual league award this season”.
