Queen’s Park are pleased and proud to offer three different ways for people, who would not normally make it to a game, to take in their cinch Championship home games at the National Stadium at Hampden.
Firstly, there is the ‘Tickets for Schools’ programme, that can include a free bus to the game, which is designed to introduce local primary schoolchildren to their local football team. As well as including free tickets, the programme includes a Question-and-Answer Session with a player before and after the game.
St Fillan’s Primary came along on Saturday and provided very noisy backing to the team which they were grateful for and the Crompton Avenue school provided the following feedback: “There were lots of smiles and memories made at Hampden Park on Saturday. Thanks to everyone at Queen’s Park as everyone enjoyed the experience.”
It was a nice touch from Jack Thomson, who had visited the school last week, to wave across to our pupils at the end of the game.”
The club also have, due to fantastic support from Rutherglen based partners McGoldricks, who are a well-established top venue for playing UK and American pool as well as snooker and darts, a Free Tickets Initiative for local community groups, youth organisations and sporting clubs.
McGoldrick’s backing allows us to offer Match Tickets to members of the Glasgow southside community who may not have been at a game before or for some time.
Last but by no means least members of The Queen’s Park FC Foundation Mini Spiders programme, Saturday Morning Skills School and all our Community Teams, as well as our Women’s Football team, can arrange an Adult and Child Ticket from their coaches.
Kieran Koszary, Head of Commercial at Queen’s Park said: “These are three great initiatives that the club are delighted to be offering. Our view is that the people who come along to our games using one of these initiatives are our fans of the future.
“I was delighted to read the feedback from St Fillan’s about their visit at the weekend. It is great to know they enjoyed the day and being part of the ‘Tickets for School’ Programme.”
