Glasgow Women Vs Queen’s Park Women Preview

Queen’s Park are back in action on Sunday, 4th July as they take on Glasgow Women in the last round of the 2020/21 Scottish Building Society SWPL 2 season. The match kicks-off at 4:00 PM at New Tinto Park in Glasgow. Spectators are allowed to attend.

This weekend, Hamilton Academical host Kilmarnock at the Fountain of Youth Stadium, Stirling University travel to Perth to take on St Johnstone, Dundee United face Partick Thistle at the Regional Performance Centre, while Aberdeen take on Boroughmuir Thistle at home. THE OPPOSITION

The most recent meeting between the two sides came on Sunday, 26th October 2020 at Lesser Hampden. The Spiders won 2–0 and registered their first win of the 2020/21 SWPL 2 season, thanks to a first-half strike from Mhairi Crooks and a 90th-minute goal from Louisa Boyes. In the first part of the 2020/21 season, Glasgow Women recorded 4 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses, scoring 14 goals and conceding 13. They started the second part of the season with a 3–1 win against St Johnstone, thanks to a Rosie McQuillan hat-trick, before losing to Hamilton Academical (2–0) and Dundee United (4–0). In the last couple of weeks, they drew with Boroughmuir Thistle (1–1) and lost to Kilmarnock (4–1, Joanne Addie the goalscorer), Stirling University (2–1, with Rosie McQuillan again on the scoresheet) and Aberdeen (8–1).
