Queen's Under 18s lost 3-1 to Hamilton Academical in CAS Elite League game at New Douglas Park on Friday night.
A cold windy night for football.
Hamilton started the game strongly pushing Queen’s back in the opening minutes without creating any clear-cut chances.
Tyrece McDonnell had a great run down the left win in the sixth minute, beating three Accies defender before cutting the ball back for a shot which was well save by Murray in goal for Accies.
The game continued to be played at a furious pace with midfields cancelling each other out.
In the 27th minute Sam Kane pulled off a superb stop diving low to his left. This was immediately followed by a 50 yard run by Ross Mclean which unfortunately when he played a through ball the Queen’s forward had strayed offside.
In the 31st minute Hamilton had the ball in the net, but the far side assistant had his flag raised to cancel out the goal.
One minute from the break Accies opened the scoring when Ben Black took advantage of a defensive lapse to knock the ball past Sam Kane into the net.

Three minutes into the second half Accies doubled their lead when Black fired a low shot past Kane from the edge of the box.
Queen’s continued to battle to get a goal back and in the 56th minute Tyrece McDonnell dribbled his way in to the Accies box, cut the ball back but the Accies defenders cleared the danger.
Ten minutes later Queen’s pulled one back when Tyrece McDonnell slotted the ball home from a tight angle.
In the final minute Lewis Burchill came close only to see Murray block his shot.
