Academy player Liam McQuaid (17) has signed a one-year professional apprentice contract with Queen's Park.
McQuaid joined the academy in 2013 from Jerviston Boys Club.
The midfielder, living in Motherwell, joined Queen’s Park Under 11s.
Last season Liam played his matches with the Academy Under 18s, who lifted the CAS Performance League title for the second time in a row.

Liam McQuaid: ‘Privileged to have been a part of the Queen’s Park community’
“To sign my first full time professional contract with Queen’s Park is a very proud moment for me and my family. I feel privileged to have been a part of the Queen’s Park community since I was nine years old. In my time at Queens, I have been lucky to have been coached by many great staff and made great friendships across the club. Winning the league two years in a row with the U18’s has to be my proudest moment and being asked to captain the side last year was a real privilege. I’m looking forward to the next chapter.”
Beuker: ‘Tremendous drive and motor’
“Liam is a very ambitious and driven player who pushes both himself and his teammates in every game and at training. In modern football, that’s a good attribute to have. In the last months he has trained regularly with the first team and made a good impression. We are happy to have signed Liam so he can slowly adjust to the level and intensity required in a first team environment.”
McQuaid will join the first team for pre-season when the team starts June 17th.
