TWO GOALS for Aiden McCallion and one each for Zeb Lawson and Lewis Stewart helped Rangers B to a 4-0 win over Gala Fairydean Rovers in the KDM Evolution Trophy.
The first matches of this season’s competition saw six Queen’s Park players involved.
Our trio on loan from Rangers made the headlines, scoring and assisting all four goals for their parent club.
Stewart was first on the scoresheet after just nine minutes, firing Lawson’s lay-off into the corner of the net.
McCallion added the first of his brace just a minute later before turning provider for Zebedee as he leapt highest to nod in the third from the midfioelder’s cross.
The Rangers under-17 captain went close for the Spiders on Saturday against Raith Rovers but there was no denying his brace with a powerful penalty to seal the victory.
Fortunes were not as favourable for the three other Spiders on loan duty.
Josiah Sowa was introduced at half-time as Dumbarton went down 3-1 at home to Airdrieonians.
Milosz Sliwinski and Darryl Carrick joined ex-Spider Lennon Connolly in the Annan Athletic team which was defeated 1-0 by Bonnyrigg Rose at New Dundas Park.
