Queen’s Park are delighted to announce that family-owned independent pharmacy chain M & D Green will have their logo on Queen’s Park’s jerseys for a fourth season running.
The relationship between Scotland’s oldest club and the leading community pharmacist chain, who were formed nearly 30 years ago, and which has 35 pharmacies, has grown on and off the park since 2021 and this season’s partnership will be bigger than ever.
M & D Green’s logo will again appear on the rear of the club’s home shirt, and the new away shirt, as a result of the biggest sponsorship deal between the parties however it is more than a financial transaction according to Kieran Koszary, Queen’s Park’s Head of Commercial.
Kieran explained: “When M & D Green renewed their sponsorship 12 months ago, we made ambitious plans to build another link in the chain between us by hosting a Charity Awareness Day at a Queen’s Park game.
“Those plans came together in March when M & D Green invited over 100 people from their social partner, one of Scotland’s leading social care charities, Quarriers, to attend Hampden for a Raith Rovers game.
“It was a great success and showed visibly the shared values between us all. M & D Green is a strong and dynamic business who are committed to their local communities, and everyone at Queen’s Park is thrilled they have chosen to increase their support for the club.”
Kieran added: “This season we will run another Quarriers Awareness Day however we will also be hosting some club-based activities as well.
“These activities will include a free Health MOT for the players and coaching staff. There will also be a competition for 11 Members/ Season Ticket Holders to win the same Health MOT as the players and management.
“The MOT would cover consultations over blood pressure, body temperature, pulse, ear health, weight management and lifestyle advice, chest auscultation as well as blood glucose and cholesterol checks.
“On top of that another joint activity will see the club running a FREE health Q and A event with our fans of a certain vintage.”
Campbell Thomson of M & D Green said: “There are many parallels between our company and Queen’s Park football Club, particularly in terms of how we build relationships together and with other parties for good.”
“We have enjoyed being in partnership with the club for the past three years and are looking forward to working with them and their fan base in this current season.”
