MATCH PREVIEW: QUEEN’S PARK VS GREENOCK MORTON

Dougie Imrie’s Greenock Morton side are the visitors to Ochilview this evening as Queen’s look to extend a run that has saw three wins on the bounce, and six wins from the last seven games.

With spirits in the camp high on the back of Saturday’s three points and clean sheet, Owen Coyle spoke to the club media team, saying: “There’s no doubt about it this will be another very difficult game and on the back of a very quick turn around from Saturday. It’ll be a third game in eight or nine days for us but that said, we look forward to the challenge.”

“We know Morton are a good side and they will be coming here looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their result at the weekend. They did however have a number of players missing who could be back for tonight’s game so we know we will have to be ready for the challenge they will bring.”

“I’ve said in in previous weeks but we will continue to try to get to our best levels because we know when we are at our best, we can and will win games in this Championship. We are obviously keen to build on recent good results and continue to build that momentum, but the only way we can do that is by playing well, working hard and for each player to bring their best into the game.”

“It’s important that we keep trying to play on the front foot and play to the high intensity levels we can do. If we do that, we’ll give ourselves every chance of winning these very important games.”

“We also have an unbelievably valuable fan base who are crucial to us and who we know will be there to back the team. We appreciate it’s a quick turnaround from Saturday and that travelling will be involved for them, but the support they give to the players honestly makes a huge difference and their efforts to be there week in week out do not go un-noticed by the players and myself. We’ll once again need everyone of you to get behind the team tonight.”
