Head of Commercial Kieran Koszary and player Max Gillies visited Merrylee Primary yesterday to give scarves and tee-shirts to the pupils who are coming to Saturday’s game against Clyde.
After handing over the tickets, scarves and tee-shirts, Max Gillies was grilled by the pupils about what it was like to be a professional footballer, who is favourite team was (Spoiler alert: a team in Paisley) and what it takes to make the grade. Max finished off the Q&A session by reminding the pupils to work hard in their studies and football but also to enjoy playing the game with their pals.
Head of Commercial Kieran Koszary said: “Once again it was a pleasure to meet all the pupils and staff and to see how excited they were about attending the match on Saturday. We hope they have a great day being part of the Queen’s Park Family.”
Head Teacher Fiona White said: “We are absolutely delighted to be involved with the Tickets for Schools initiative at Merrylee Primary. The children were delighted to meet a Queen’s Park player today and being aspiring football players themselves, they loved being able to ask some all important questions! They are so excited for Saturday’s match and I am sure this will be a lasting memory for them for years to come! ”
As with previous Tickets for Schools, we will be providing a free bus to get the youngsters to the game. The club would like to thank Andy and his team at McDades coaches for ongoing support with this initiative.
