Queen’s Park can today confirm the signing of 28-year-old defender Michael Doyle.
The versatile defender spent last season in League One with Falkirk, making 28 appearances and scoring 3 goals. Michael has considerable Championship level experience, including spells at Queen of the South, Morton and Alloa.
Head Coach Ray McKinnon said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have been able to add a player of Michael’s ability and experience to the squad. He has a wealth of experience at Championship level, he’s versatile and he’s chosen us over several other clubs who were competing for his signature. His versatility gives us cover for a number of different positions which is another important factor and I’m sure he’ll prove to be excellent for us.”
Michael said: “I’m pleased to have joined the club and very much looking forward to getting going. I have worked with the manager and Laurie previously and played alongside a number of the boys in the past, so I’m hoping that helps me gel in and hit the ground running. The hopes that the club have for the future are exciting and I very much want to be part of it and be here for years to come.”
