Queen’s Park can today confirm the signing of 24-year-old defender Tommy Robson.
Tommy started his career at Darlington before moving to Sunderland in 2012. He worked his way through the academy teams and made his only Premier League appearance for The Black Cats first team in May 2016 at Vicarage Road against Watford. Spells at Falkirk and Partick Thistle followed, with Tommy making 28 appearances last season for The Jags.
Head Coach Ray McKinnon said: “I’m really pleased to have got this one over the line. Tommy is a top-quality player who despite being just 24, brings great experience and athleticism to the squad. He is an attack minded, left sided player, and I believe he has a great future ahead of him in the game. It’s fantastic to have him on board.”
After completing the formalities, Tommy said: “I’ve joined at what is an exciting time for the club and I’m very happy to have this opportunity. I’m looking forward to getting back to some normality when pre-season training resumes and relishing the challenges that lie ahead when the season gets underway.”
Welcome to Queen’s Park, Tommy!
