Patrick started playing football for his home town side, Nantwich Town, aged six. He caught the eye of Stoke City and joined them when he was eight.
Patrick has been on the books at Stoke City for his whole career to date. He progressed through the Stoke Academy and signed a professional contract in 2018.
He was a key player for both the club’s U18s and U23s teams before a month’s loan to Telford United in February 2022.
Patrick Jarrett: ‘I can’t wait for this new challenge’
“I’m really exited for this opportunity. It is such an historic football club and I can’t wait to hopefully add to that history and help them push on again. The lads have been fantastic and it is a great group that work hard, but also have a lot of quality. It’s a privilege to work with Owen and the management staff, especially with their experience and pedigree. I feel I can really develop and grow as a player under their coaching and guidance. I can’t wait for this new challenge.”
Marijn Beuker: ‘A skillful midfielder with a great awareness ‘
“Patrick is a skillful midfielder with a great awareness for what happens around him on the pitch. The way he uses deceptions on the field allows him to create extra time on the midfield. We have watched him in the last phase of his season in Stoke U23, where he showed he can play in multiple roles in the midfield and from our data-analysis we use we know he contributes a lot to creating chances.”
Owen Coyle: ‘Patrick has demonstrated the impact he can have in games’
”We are very pleased to have added Patrick to tomorrow’s squad. The last weeks when he was on trial he showed the quality he has in training and demonstrated the impact he can have during games.
The addition of Patrick to our team provides us with multiple options in the midfield which is always good for a manager to have.”
