Patrick Returns to OLA for Q&A and Deliver Free Footballs

Queen’s Park’s First Team player Patrick Jarrett returned to Our Lady of The Annunciation this week to discuss how the pupils enjoyed Saturday’s cinch Championship game with Morton.

Patrick popped into the Primary School on Friarton Road last week to hand over 50 tickets for the match with the Greenock side and as part of the club’s ‘Tickets for Schools’ programme the attacking midfielder went back in to take part in a Question and Answer session.

It was an intense grilling as Patrick explained: “It was good to see the pupils at Ochilview last Saturday and it is good that the ‘Tickets for Schools’ programme does not just end with handing over tickets.”

“To go back in and be asked questions about the game and football in general fairly puts you on the spot. The game with Morton had plenty of incidents, as well as four goals and a disallowed goal for us, and that meant that there was some fairly direct questions asked.”

“It was good fun and hopefully we will see some of the pupils come back for other games.”

Patrick’s return visit is the second of three engagements Scotland’s oldest club will have with Our Lady of The Annunciation this month as Kieran Koszary, Head of Commercial explained: “The ‘Tickets for School’ programme is not just about coming to the games and then everyone moving on. We are looking to build a long-term connection between the club and local people.”

“That is why we do the two visits and have also recently added a third visit that incorporates our ‘Footballs for Schools’ programme which sees the club hand over footballs that can be used in the school playground.”
