Player Sponsorship to Raise Funds For Good Cause

Insurance brokers Kelvin Smith have teamed up with Queen’s Park FC to create a player sponsorship with a difference as they mark 40 years in business.

The company is backing forward Dom Thomas in the upcoming season in the Championship, but has also decided to donate £40 for every goal the player chips in with to the charity of his choice.

Celebrating 40 years in business, Managing Director , Steven Travers said: “Kelvin Smith Insurance Brokers Ltd are delighted to announce that we will be donating £40 for every goal Dom Thomas scores in season 22/23 to The Mental Health Walk and Talk Charity. We are sure Dom will do Queen’s Park and Walk and Talk proud with a very healthy goals tally and the funds generated will be going to an extremely worthwhile cause.”

The charity was founded in June 2020 during the covid pandemic to support the many people who suffered mental health problems during this period and the first walk took place at Springburn Park in June 2020 with 7 people….the group have now had over 400 people attending and it continues to grow. The group meet every week at a different park, mainly in Glasgow and is open to men and women with ages ranging from 18 – 62.

Everyone who attends walk is provided with a meal and the group also offer a free boxing sessions, badminton classes and circuit training.
