Referee royalty heading to the Black and White Lounge
PREMIER LEAGUE referee Mike Dean never encountered Chic Charnley during his 37-years behind the whistle.
But plenty of his colleagues north of the border did!
The man in the middle became one of the most recognisable faces during a decade of top-level games in the NEglish premier League.
Charnley too is renowned as one of Scottish football’s best-known characters with spells at St Mirren, Hibs and of course, Partick Thistle.
He’ll be back at the black and White Lounge this week for the visit of his old team to The city Stadium – and one of the EPL’s most famous faces will join him.
