Today we play St. Johnstone for the second Sunday in a row in SWPL2 at New Tinto park. Kick off at 2:30pm.
After last week’s 4-2 defeat by St Johnstone , in Perth, Queen’s will be looking to bounce back against the Perth side at New Tinto Park.
This will be a tall order as the Perth side have already beaten the Spiders three times this season so far.
Currently St Johnstone sit fourth in SWPL2, whereas we are rooted at the bottom of the table.
League form coming into the game:
Queen’s Park: LDLLL
St Johnstone: LDWWW
Coach Barry Rodgers thoughts before the game: “It’s always interesting when you play a team back to back, as we play St Johnstone for the second week in a row. I think tomorrow is setting up for what might be a good game. We’ve obviously taken into account the things we maybe could have done better and the positives we took out of last week’s game.”
We’ve been working hard, in training, this week, continuing to try and develop our playing style that we have. The players have been really pushing themselves and buying into what we are doing. So it’s been a good week of preparation.”
Obviously, being fresh from playing St Johnstone, we know them inside out, we know what they are about. So we need to make sure that we try to nullify what they are trying to do, as well as trying to do be the best versions of ourselves as well.”
I think we have the capability in the squad. We are definitely continuing to more in the right direction and build. Now’s the time to start doing it on the pitch and hopefully we can bring home the three points.”
