Two goals for Hamilton early in the first half meant that all three points headed to Lanarkshire in yesterday's CAS Elite League game at Lochinch.
Queen’s Under 18s started with the same eleven who started against Kilmarnock last week.
The opening minutes saw the Spiders playing their possession-based game with Hamilton pressing high up the pitch not giving the youngsters much time on the ball.
Three minutes in Sam Kane had to react fast to punch away an Accies fast break.

Liam McVey, in midfield for Queen’s, was creating space down the left. In the sixth minute he played a superb pass for Dom Brady to run onto and have a shot.
Hamilton opened the scoring in the tenth minute. From an attack down the left Accies Liam Morgan moved the ball across the Queen’s box to Kyle Haggerty who stepped onto the ball and passed in into the corner of the far net giving Sam Kane no chance.

Queen’s worked hard to get behind the well organised Accies side but found no way through.
In the 22nd minute Accies Rundell broke through the Queen’s defence and hit a low shot. Sam Kane reacted swiftly to push the ball away from danger.

Queen’s responded with a fast break down the left which resulted in Lewis Burchill narrowly missing the far post with his shot.

In the 24th minute Accies doubled their lead. An attack down the left resulted in a shot which Kane parried only to see forward Sisanda Maguranyanga knock the loose ball home from four yards out.

Five minutes from half time Queen’s came close to scoring when they were awarded a free kick 20 yard out. Murray in goal for Accies pulled off a fantastic save to deny the young Spiders.

Four minutes into the second half Accies added a third goal when Gravine Kalala Gwamba-lo nicked the ball off a Queen’s defender who was seeing it out for a goal kick and cut the ball back for Morgan to smash the ball into the net from eight yards out.
In the 63rd minute Queen’s had their best chance of the half when the Accies keeper miss-kicked his clearance straight to sub Joshua Fitzpatrick who got in an early shot only to see it blocked by the keeper to retrieve the situation.

Seven minutes from time Queen’s pulled one back when Joshua Fitzpatrick dribbled into the Accies box and hit a low shot into the corner of the net from 14 yards out.
