Queen's Park U19s 12 Kelty Hearts U19s 0 - CAS Advanced Youth League
QUEEN’S PARK kept up their incredible record at the top of the CAS Advanced Youth League with a dozen goals against Kelty.
Charley King’s side remain unbeaten at the top of the league with six wins from six games – and scored HALF of their season’s goal tally in this one match at Lochinch.
The goals were equally spread between first and second half with no less than nine Young Spiders on the scoresheet.
Recent first team debutant Ross McLean hit a double, as did Kai Williamson and Cole Goldie while there were further strikes from Sam McLachlan, Lewis Smith, Leo Clark and Logan Duffy.
Ollie Fisher also netted his first goal in Queen’s Park colours since his summer switch from Morton.
Coach King said: “The challenge from me before the game was to take more of our chances. We had missed too many in previous games even though we had won the game could have been more comfortable in each with more goals, so I asked the players could we add more goals tonight which the boys certainly did. I can have no complaints in that regard.
“We are now coming up to a tough run of fixtures both in league, friendlies and Glasgow cup so lots of more challenging games ahead to look forward too.
“We also have a number of boys now going out on loan in the next few weeks to gain first team experience until January.”
Several of the Young Spiders will also be involved in the City of Glasgow Cup match with Partick Thistle next week.
