An equaliser in the final seconds of the game for Dundee denied Queen's 18s all three points in a thrilling CAS Performance League game last night at Lochinch.
A cold misty evening welcomed both sides out on the Lochinch playing surface.
Queen’s started the game pressing Dundee back. But the Dens side responded in the third minute by going in the lead. Dundee overturned a Queen’s attack down the left, In an attempt to clear the ball a Queen’s defender hit the ball against a Dundee player. The ball rebounded over the Queen’s defence for the Dundee forward to run onto and place the ball past under 15 goalkeeper Sam Gibson into the far corner of the net.
The game was being played at a high tempo with defences on top. The ball was being moved around the midfield with neither team really able to break through and get a shot in on goal.
Queen’s drew level in the 15th minute when Timam Scott was brought down inside the Dundee box after a mazy run down the right wing. Lucas McCormick converted the spot kick.

The last 20 minutes of the first half Queen’s started to open up the Dundee defence, created a few chances, but not really test the Dens keeper. The game was by now mostly being played in the Dundee half.
In the 37th minute after a great combination down the left the ball was played into the Dundee six yard box. Timam Scott got to the ball but just couldn’t direct the ball towards the net.
Half-time: Queen’s Park 1 Dundee 1
The second half started just like the first half with both sides pushing for control of the ball.
Josh Howe broke the deadlock in the 60th minute when, after a superb passing move from midfield to attack, Josh evaded two defenders and calmly slotted the ball into the far corner of the net from 18 yards out.

Two minutes from time Queen’s looked to extend their lead but the shot hit the upright.
In the final seconds of the game Dundee equalised to share the points in a tense but well fought out game.
