QUEEN’S PARK FC is pleased to welcome a new goalkeeping coach to the Spiders.
David Scott has been recruited by head-coach Sean Crighton and joins Jim Duffy within the new-look coaching team at Lochinch.
Most recently David was coaching within Celtic’s Academy but prior to that he was head of goalkeeping at Greenock Morton for three years – and in two of those seasons at Cappielow, keepers were named club player of the year under his watch!
He replaces Michael McGovern who has left the club following season 2024-25.
After showing his new member of staff around the facilities at the training ground and The city Stadium, head-coach Sean Crighton said: “David is someone I am looking forward to working with and adds yet more experience of this league to the coaching team.
“I received nothing but good feedback on his coaching from contacts around the game and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
David Scott said: “I’m delighted to have joined the coaching team at Queen’s Park.
“When Sean gave me the call to come aboard it was a brilliant opportunity and after seeing the excellent club facilities at the stadium and Lochinch, I was excited to get it done as soon as possible.
“I have experience in the William Hill Championship and know we have a good group of goalkeepers at the club – a mix of youth and experience and all talented goalkeepers in their own right. I am excited to work with them and use my own experience to take their game on to the next level.
“Working with a staff including Sean and Jim Duffy is also a fantastic opportunity and I’m hoping we bring success for the Club.”
