QUEEN’S PARK FC was delighted to welcome CIC Sports to our 1-1 draw with Ayr United on Saturday.
The select group of young footballers had travelled from Malta and took in the William Hill Championship fixture as part of a trip to Scotland which also includes matches against grass roots teams and coaching.
Players came from clubs – Hibernians, Balzan, Hamrun, Pieta, Swieqi and Fgura – and took in Scotland as the latest destination on their regular trips abroad with CIC – run by Maltese FA official Franco Agius.
As well as watching the Spiders, the group also played fixtures against On The Ball Academy, Blantyre soccer centre and the West Region select team.
Queen’s Park head of football operations Brian Sproule also laid on a coaching session before the players headed home.
