Queen’s Park Football Club is revitalising and refocusing our community and charitable activities.
The new Queen’s Park Charitable Trust will lead and partner with others in tackling the underlying and complex causes of a wide range of health and well-being issues.
Those engaged in this process are committed to exploring new ways of working to tackle these issues, focusing on early intervention and prevention approaches, recognising that this is the most effective approach in the long-term.
The Trust is in a period of fundamental change with the introduction of a new senior management team within the Football Club and newly planned activities to support the Trust’s and Club’s commitment to a ‘Queen’s Park – One Community’ culture – this is still very much in development. The Trust presently has several opportunities for growth via funding from external sources.
We are recruiting an Executive Director to drive and deliver our aims.
A fantastic opportunity exists for an exceptional candidate to best exploit these opportunities and to manage and expand our ambitious development program. A talented executive director with proven knowledge and experience of working in partnership is required to be able to drive the agenda for change within the Trust, supported by the Football Club.
The Trust plans to engage with partners to develop and deliver programmes that will support the key themes of lifelong learning, inclusion, health and wellbeing, community sport and regeneration. The Trust will engage with the community as a whole but actively seeks to deliver services, in particular, to those who are socially disadvantaged throughout Glasgow.
The Trust operates in a busy market, however is uniquely placed to attract clients and beneficiaries from hard-to-reach groups through the pulling power of football and the Queen’s Park Football Club brand.
The fundraising priorities for the Trust are to secure funding through its core programmes, leverage from grant making agencies, and other fund-raising activities for the continuation and development of its services for community benefit.
Our key aim is to – Make greater use of all Queen’s Park physical, cultural, and professional assets, to deliver a better, healthier future for the most vulnerable, disenfranchised or disadvantaged in our communities tapping into the passion associated with football to profoundly change their lives for the better.
