Queen’s Park Sign Kane Thomson

Academy player Kane Thomson (17) has signed a one-year professional apprentice contract with Queen's Park.

Thomson joined the academy in 2013 from East Kilbride Caledonian Thisle.

The right wing back, who lives in East Kilbride, joined Queen’s Park Under 10s.

Last season he played his matches with the Academy Under 18s, who lifted the CAS Performance League title for the second time in a row.

Kane Thomson: ‘Stepping up to challenge’
“It’s really great to sign a professional contract with Queen’s Park, having been here for almost 9 years right through the academy. I’m looking forward to stepping up to the challenge this season.”

Marijn Beuker: ‘Kane a player with tremendous drive and motor’
“Kane is a player with a tremendous drive and motor. He keeps on going and has no problem continuing for 90 minutes. In modern football, that’s a good attribute to have. In the last months he has trained regularly with the first team and made a good impression. We are happy to have signed Kane so he can slowly adjust to the level and intensity required in a first team environment.”

Thomson will join the first team for pre-season when the team starts June 17th.
