Queen’s Park Supporters Association Annual Awards 2025-26

BAR 1867 was standing room only for Queen’s Park Supporters’ Association annual player awards on Saturday.

First team players and fans met in the JB McAlpine Pavilion following the last home game of the season against Dunfermline.

The match itself ended in defeat but the winners over the course of the season were crowned for season 2025-26.

Captain Euan Murray and Aidan Connolly were the big winners, with the skipper landing the Ivy Riddell Trophy for player of the year for the association.

He also took the Players’ Player of the Year nominated by his team-mates and presented, on their behalf, by first-team manager Sean Crighton.

Team-mate Aidan Connolly also took two awards, both from the QPSA.

The midfielder was voted player of the year by the away supporters, with polls on each bus travelling around the country to follow the Spiders. That landed our number 11 the Martin Kelly Trophy.

Connolly also won player of the year from the young supporters club in the association.

After an online poll the Stewart Hendry Trophy for goal of the season went to Tyrece McDonnell for his strike as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Airdrieonians in August.

Fellow Queen’s Park B graduate Ross McLean was also awarded the Roy Richmond Youth Player of the Year for his performances over the season.

The awards were rounded off with a special recognition trophy for youth coach Charley King, who has led the Spiders’ under-18s to the Scottish Youth Cup Final for the first time in club history.
