Queen’s Park played host to Linlithgow Rose last night in a closed doors ‘Bounce’ game that gave Head Coach Robin Veldman, subject to visa requirements, the chance to watch on as his players were in action against opponents just four days after they faced each other at Lesser Hampden.
Rose, who will compete in the Lowland League in the new season, gave the Spiders plenty to think about before goals from Luke McCormick and Scott Williamson saw the hosts lead at half-time.
Lennon Connolly added a third before one team of outfield players was replaced by another team of outfield players with an hour gone.
New recruits Barry Hepburn and Ruari Paton found the net before Dom Thomas added a late penalty to complete a good workout.
