Queen’s Park are back in action on Wednesday, 23rd June as they host Stirling University at the Nethercraigs Sports Complex in Glasgow, in the third-last round of the 2020/21 Scottish Building Society SWPL 2 season. The match kicks-off at 7:00 PM. Spectators are allowed, but they must adhere to the current Scottish Government guidelines and social distancing rules at all times.
THE LEAGUE

This Wednesday, Boroughmuir Thistle travel to Perth to face St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, Glasgow Women host Kilmarnock at Greenfield Park, and Hamilton Academical take on Dundee United at home. Meanwhile, league-leaders Aberdeen will host Partick Thistle at Cormack Park on Thursday evening. A list of the full fixtures can be found here.
THE OPPOSITION
The most recent meeting between the two sides came in the SWPL 2 on Sunday, 22nd November 2020 at the Gannochy Sports Centre in Stirling. The Spiders came back twice from behind to secure a 3–3 draw, thanks to goals from Helen McLeod (2) and Chloe Docherty (1). Meanwhile, Lindsay Blues (1) and Shana MacPhail (2) were both on the scoresheet for the hosts. A full match report can be read here.
In the first part of the 2020/21 season, Stirling University recorded 1 draw and 9 losses, scoring 9 goals and conceding 38. They started the second part of the season with two losses against Aberdeen (7–0) and Dundee United (5–1, Robin Gallacher the goalscorer), before drawing 1–1 with Boroughmuir Thistle, thanks to a second-half goal from Rebecca Hellgren, and winning 1–0 against Kilmarnock, courtesy of a 72nd minute penalty from Lindsay Blues. Last Sunday, Stirling lost 6–0 to Partick Thistle, and will be looking to get back to winning ways tomorrow evening at Nethercraigs.
