QUEEN’S PARK under-18s preparations are well underway for Tuesday’s Scottish Youth Cup Final against Heart of Midlothian.
Charley King’s Young Spiders earned a historic first final place for the club with wins over Queen of the South, Rangers, Musselburgh Athletic and Aberdeen on ‘The Road to Hampden’.
And on Thursday, the team walked that very road we know so well, from The city Stadium next door, along Letherby Drive to Barclays Hampden for a pre-match visit.
The team acclimatised to the stadium – the biggest each player will have played in – and looked around the dressing rooms ahead of the game, which will be broadcast on BBC Scotland.
They also took in the pitch and both King and captain Cole Burke got up close to the trophy itself.
Kick off on Tuesday evening is 7.20pm
Members and season ticket holders who have claimed a complimentary ticket from the club can collect these tomorrow and Tuesday during office opening hours.
