Spiders’ Sponsor Spotlight – McGoldrick’s Pool & Sports Bar

QUEEN’S PARK’S history is one of establishing the beautiful game as we know it way back in 1867.

But did you know, the Spiders’ football connections were also forged alongside another sport – CRICKET.

The football club is still going strong some 158 years later and even now in the modern day the club has links to other sports… albeit the cricket connection is not quite as strong as it once was.

This season McGoldrick’s indoor pool hall in Rutherglen offers Spiders fans an alternative game away from The city Stadium and the William Hill Championship.

With 10 UK 8-ball tables, six American 9-ball tables, two snooker tables and eight dartboards there’s plenty to go round any day of the week – or even after a match on a Saturday.

The club, a five-minute drive from Hampden can be found on Rutherglen Main Street and is an ideal spot for sport lovers, with more than 30 televisions for watching on live events on any sky channel including Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Premier Sports and Box Office.

It also boasts a huge feature – the 146-inch micro-LED screen – which is the only one in the country for a unique viewing experience.

There’s also a huge selection of food and drinks available with a 30 per cent discount on orders between 12pm and 4pm Monday to Friday.

McGoldrick’s have been supporting the Spiders for the past five years and in such close proximity to the home of Queen’s Park, it’s the ideal venue for a game of pool, darts or snooker for supporters if the Spiders are not around.
