FOLLOWING further activity around the men’s first-team squad, Queen’s Park FC can now provide supporters with another update.
As previously detailed last month, Calum Ferrie has moved to the William Hill Premiership with Kilmarnock and goalkeeper David Mitchell recruited to Sean Crighton’s squad.
Defender Henry Fieldson’s contract with the club expired at the end of last season and after assessing his options, Henry has also opted to move to the William Hill Premiership.
The Englishman played 61 times for the Spiders and will remain in black and white next season by joining St Mirren.
Henry leaves with the very best wishes of all at the club and gratitude for his efforts at Queen’s Park after being an integral part of Sean Crighton’s squad last season.
The first-team manager said: “We offered Henry the opportunity to stay but we always knew after his performances last season we would be up against other clubs interested in his services.
“We want to wish him all the best after his performances last season and it is no surprise he has attracted interest from the William Hill Premiership.
“We hope, as we did with Calum, that he embraces the challenge and takes his well-earned opportunity.
“He was a great boy to work with and I am sure he will thrive as he progresses his career.”
