Queen’s Park are delighted to announce that they have added former Motherwell and Leeds United attacker Stuart McKinstry to their squad for the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old Scotland under-21 international started his football career in Motherwell’s academy aged just 10, and after being on their first team bench in December 2018, he moved to Leeds United in the summer of 2019.
McKinstry played in the Carabao Cup and Premier League for the Elland Road side before returning to Motherwell on loan last season where he scored four times in 25 appearances

Marijn Beuker, Director of Football at Queen’s Park said: “We are very pleased to have been able to add Stuart to our squad. Over the last weeks of the transfer window, we have been looking to further strengthen our squad and in particular, looking for a creative attacker who can add some depth to the group.
“Stuart does that as he is creative and technical strong attacker who can act as the connection between the midfield and the attack. He can create threats that can unlock players in front of the goal.
“Because Stuart has had limited football training the last months, we will need to get him physically in top shape first but hope to welcome him into first team action as soon as possible.”
Stuart said: “I am delighted to be here and I am very thankful of the opportunity that the club has given me. There is a lot of quality in the player group and they are working on a clear plan and strategy.
“I think it’s the best place to progress in my career and I’m looking forward to getting going and getting us back up the league.”
