EUAN MURRAY has heard the Queen’s Park supporters back the team.
Now for a second straight season he’ll have them on his arm too.
The Spiders skipper’s captain’s armband will be sponsored by the Queen’s Park Supporters Association for a second consecutive year.
And for the second consecutive year the armband will be handed out to one lucky young fan at the end of every home game.
Thomas Hudson and sister Emma each landed the lucky gift at games last season and were on-hand to help launch this season’s giveaway which starts with this weekend’s Raith Rovers match at The city Stadium.
Dad Alan, a long-time member of the QPSA, said: “We’re very proud to have our logo worn by the captain during each match, and giving the armband away after each home game was very popular with those who received them so we’re delighted to be supporting that again this season.
“We’ve had some great feedback from our younger fans, and their parents, about things like the armband giveaway, open training session and Meet the Manager evening, and we look forward to working with the club again this season on engaging with fans of all ages.

Head of commercial Kieran Koszary added: “Having the support of the supporters association for the captain’s armband initiative was a fantastic boost last season and we are delighte to carry on the presentation this season.
“The smiles on the young faces were all fantastic and they each have a keepsake from a special day at Queen’s Park.
“We look forward to more collaboration as we work together with the QPSA again this season.”
And captain Euan Murray thanked the association too. He said: “There was a real connection at the club last season between the fans, staff and players and the armband was part of that definitely played a part in building that bond after each game.
“Handing over every armband and seeing the smiles was brilliant. We hope to give the supporters plenty more to smile about this season – during the game,] as well as after it.”
As well as sponsorship of the captain’s armband the QPSA are also match kit sponsors of Cole Burke and Zach Mauchin this season.
