Prior to Queen’s Park’s recent home match with Morton on February 17, the Club were delighted to honour the outstanding service given to it by David Gordon and Alan Hutchison.
David was made an honorary Life Member after his 27 years’ service as Committee Member, Treasurer and President of Queen’s Park. Alan received a silver salver for his 42 years’ service as Club Doctor, Committee Member and for his role in creating history as he is the only person in the Club’s 157-year history to serve as President in 2 separate terms.
Present day Club President Graeme Shields, who presented the awards, said: “Both David and Alan have given a large part of their lives to serving Queen’s Park and it is fitting that the Club pays tribute to them both for their dedication and hard work on its behalf.
“Queen’s Park is a very different club now to the one that David and Alan both gave service to initially and we would also like to thank them for their support during a huge period of change.”
