The Morning After

We are sure that everyone associated with Queen’s Park FC has a mixture of emotions this morning ranging from pride to disappointment. The pride comes from taking part in a game of football that was surely one of the most entertaining seen in Scotland for many years and from watching a group of players who took the club to the brink of a title and automatic promotion no-one had thought about this time last year.

Charlie Fox’s wonder strike and Calum Ferrie’s outstanding double save will live long in Black and White memories and whilst there is disappointment at not winning the Championship our season is not over.

So, to Owen Coyle, his coaching staff and his players – thank you for everything you have done so far and the very best of luck for the play-offs that begin against Partick Thistle this Tuesday.

To our fans – thank you for incredible backing last night and throughout the season. Last night was a bump in the road in our journey but please remember we are on a journey together and that journey continues this week.

Your support is needed again and hopefully again and again after that before the season ends.

Finally, everyone knows that Queen’s Park is a special club with outstanding values and therefore it is only correct that we congratulate Dundee FC on their success in winning the Championship.

Nothing worthwhile is ever easy!
