Tickets for Schools – Mount Florida

First team player, Peter Grant, visited Mount Florida Primary School yesterday to present the tickets to the pupils who are coming to our game against Alloa Athletic on Sunday and also took part in a Q and A with the youngsters.

Tomorrow we will post a video of Peter's visit to Mount Florida Primary school and an interview with the school's head teacher.

In addition to the tickets, the Club will also provide a free bus to take the kids to and from each home match, and each child attending will also get a free Queen’s Park t-shirt.

Head of Commercial Kieran Koszary said: “We are looking to do two things – to work with the local community and also to create fans of the future. We are also conscious that as a club we are playing away from our normal “home” so this allows us to keep in touch with our local community.

“We hope this is an initiative lots of local schools will want to take part in, and we look forward to welcoming them to Queen’s Park. It will all be covered on the club’s social media platforms and we will ensure the kids have a day to remember.”

Caroline Gibson, Head Teacher from Mount Florida Primary said: ‘We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with Queen’s Park Football Club on their Tickets for Schools Scheme and our children and families are looking forward to attending the game. We hope this will lead to further opportunities for the school and nursery and the football club to work together in partnership”.

The Club would also like to thank McDades Coaches and our other partners who have supported the club with this venture.

Queen’s Park are playing home matches at Partick Thistle’s Firhill Stadium while their own Lesser Hampden is undergoing major upgrading construction works.
